R.N. Prasher
R.N. Prasher is a retired IAS officer of the 1975 batch with extensive experience in the water and power sectors. He served as the principal secretary of Haryana’s irrigation and power departments and was a member of the Bhakra Beas Management Board. Prasher has been an outspoken advocate for the suspension of the 1960 Indus Water Treaty between India and Pakistan, arguing that water-scarce India could utilize the water currently flowing into the sea as permitted by the treaty.
